Shri November 11th, 2015 Waders,
I have placed a new game on my website.
www.ashatej.com its the second one in the top row
under the a couple of puzzle games category - 'Crush'
It is a progressive matching game - where as you match, the pieces change to the next one in the hierarchy.
If you give it a try, you should get why it is named what it is.
I was able to make this quickly because the code is almost the same as for Jellinx.
As always, any and all feedback is appreciated.
cheers,
Shri
Gio November 12th, 2015 Really nice game! Reminded my of Triple Town, very addictive.
You're getting pretty quick with these games :) I understand you recycled most of the code from your previous projects, but the game design is pretty different (and better IMHO) and overall it's a really nice experience.
Shri November 12th, 2015 Gio,
I'm glad you liked it. Did you manage to make any bottles of wine ?
I realized after finishing Jellinx that the code could be easily modified to create the progressive match game.
After finishing Crush, I realized that it could be "re-skinned" almost endlessly. Everything from holidays (twelve days of christmas)
to products (build a Fiat in 10 steps) to education (anatomy - foot bone is connected to the ankle bone, etc...).
If I had any kind of artistic talent, the process would be even simpler.
As usual though, all the heavy lifting is done by the wade engine and the physics plugin !
cheers,
Shri.
